AGM and Display

The 2025 AGM will be held on 19^th November at 5pm by Zoom. If you receive the paper version of the Mayflower and have not registered to participate in the meeting please email the Membership Secretary (memsec@ascgb.org.uk) by Monday 17^th to receive the joining link. Members receiving The Mayflower by email will receive an invite automatically.

A member has offered to show some of his material related to President Lincoln. This will be shown during the AGM.

He has provided the following synopsis:

"Our AGM coincides with the 162^nd anniversary of the Gettysburg Address on 19^th November 1863. President Abraham Lincoln was one of the speakers at the dedication of the cemetery for the Union and Confederate dead in the Civil War.

I'm a collector of Abraham Lincoln material. I'd like to show some of it to you. It will be philatelic rather than a thematic/topical display. There will be US stamps from 3 relevant issues. The 1948 Gettysburg 85^th Anniversary issue and 2 regular series released on 19^th November: 1954 Liberty 4 cent and 1965 Prominent Americans 4 cent, both showing Lincoln.

A stamp and a FDC is never enough for me so expect to see publicity material and autographs. Also printing and perforation varieties."
